Everyday Life in the Office
December 27th, 2009This office has been fairly quiet in the week or so before Christmas.
Everyone out shopping instead of coming to the doctor I suppose (or not having enough money to buy presents and come to the doctor).
They don’t think that this selfish policy means I might have to cut back on the number of presents I shower on my spoiled daughters?
But fewer patients means more time - so we shoot the breeze.
Michelle complains about how she has to cook for everyone because her mother in law is such a disaster in the kitchen - and about how the family can make you mad.
I agree. I always tell everyone “there’s nothing like your family to pull your string” - that’s why all these family holidays can be so much fun.
Michelle is also a 911 dispatcher and tells me “it’s unbelievable what people will call for”. You get a call about a domestic dispute, and there’s someone in the background screaming “you burnt the #*&@%@# turkey”.
